Overview

Do you love being on the road? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced transportation environment? Become apart of the R&PS TRUCKING LTD (located in Calgary) family! We’re currently hiring long haul truck drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload goods
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Pay and receive payments for goods
  • Maintain an accurate electronic logbook
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption

Requirements

  • A clean driving record, as well as sound knowledge of truck maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of route planning, using both road maps and GPS devices.
  • The ability to work long, irregular hours, and to remain focused throughout.
  • Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Terms of employment Permanent employment

  • Full time: 40 to 60 hours / week
  • Starting date: As soon as possible
  • Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Shift, Weekend, Night
  • Number of Vacancies: 4 vacancies
