Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Perform brake adjustments
- Pay and receive payments for goods
- Maintain an accurate electronic logbook
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
Requirements
- A clean driving record, as well as sound knowledge of truck maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of route planning, using both road maps and GPS devices.
- The ability to work long, irregular hours, and to remain focused throughout.
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Terms of employment Permanent employment
- Full time: 40 to 60 hours / week
- Starting date: As soon as possible
- Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Shift, Weekend, Night
- Number of Vacancies: 4 vacancies
